Asking for Assistance is HARD

Asking for assistance is HARD. Writing is HARD. Writing using alliteration is fun. Asking for assistance using alliteration is hard but also funny. One of the 13 million reasons I love Taylor Swift is her way with words. She too, loves alliteration and her new song “You’re Losing Me” has so many wonderful examples. “pathological people pleaser” “endless empathies” are a few of my favorite lines. This season of life has been harder than I ever imagined, but I am getting through it with all of the love and support from my family and friends. ❤️

You’re Losing Me
Not only do those phrases roll off the tongue smooth as silk , I relate to them too which makes it hit even harder. Also, if you turn the volume alllll the way up while listening to the song, the drums feel like a heartbeat.

Listening to lovely music is one way I cope with my stress. 🎵 Another way is seeking support. Asking for assistance is one of the hardest things as an adult. We are taught to deal with it, figure it out, Google it. There’s no point in asking someone when I can just do it quicker without inconveniencing anyone.

Asking for assistance is hard but NECESSARY

Asking for assistance is hard but NECESSARY. I started this tutoring business years ago and had NO idea it would take me here. But now that I am standing here in the launch phase, ready for the most exciting part of my career, I find myself asking for assistance.

I have hired a business coach. She has an entire team ready to help support me. Her program has a Facebook group where I have made some AMAZING friends. We work together through the tricky parts and practice our words out loud to the most supportive audience to ever exist. With this support and this structure, I feel ready for 🤖 Teacher Transformers to take on the world. 🌎

I am in new territory and it is all new and scary and exciting all at once. And I am learning to be okay with that. I cannot WAIT to keep sharing my new and exciting adventures with you!

With Love and Support,
🤟 Lexi Limbert Soderberg
